Pasquale Avino was born in Rome, Italy in 1968. He obtained his Master of Chemistry in 1992 and Doctoral of Chemical Sciences in 1997, University of Rome La Sapienza. He spent one year as Post-Doc Researcher at the University of California, Irvine, USA, in the Rowland-Blake group. Currently, he is working as Associate Professor at University of Molise in Campobasso, Italy. He is recipient of NASA award and National Sapio Award.

Ivan Notardonato was born in Isernia, Italy in 1979. He obtained a Bachelor of Chemical Methods and Processes, University of Molise in 2004. In 2006, he received his Master of Analytical Chemistry and Applied Methodologies, University of Rome La Sapienza, and in 2010 a Doctoral of Biochemical and Chemical Applications from University of Molise, Italy. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at University of Molise in Campobasso, Italy.

Cristina Di Fiore was born in Larino, Italy in 1996. She obtained her Master of Food Science and Technology in 2020 from the Department of Agricultural, Environmental and Food Sciences, University of Molise in Campobasso, Italy. She is currently a PhD student in Agriculture, Technologies and Biotechnologies at University of Molise. She spent six months period research at the Imperial College London, London, UK, in the Environmental Research Group – School of Public Health. She has been nominated subject expert on analytical chemistry, applied analytical chemistry and environmental chemistry. At present, she is carrying out a research grant on the determination of microplastics in occupational indoor air. She is also involved in the research of contaminants in foods.

Debora Mignogna was born in Campobasso, Italy in 1993. She obtained her Master of Food Science and Technology in 2021 from the Department of Agricultural, Environmental and Food Sciences, University of Molise in Campobasso, Italy. She is currently a PhD student in Agriculture, Technologies and Biotechnologies at University of Molise. She is working on use of biofuels in the ecological transition process. She is also involved in the research of contaminants in foods.

Sergio Passarella was born in Campobasso, Italy in 1987. He obtained his Master degree in Food Science and Technology in 2019 from the Department of Agricultural, Environmental and Food Sciences, University of Molise, Campobasso, Italy. He has worked at the Italian Ministry of Education since 2008 and in 2021 he took a position as technical practical teacher in high school. He is currently a PhD student in Agriculture, Technologies and Biotechnologies at the University of Molise. He is working on the determination of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in food matrices. He is also involved in researches of organic and inorganic contaminants in food and environment fields.

Fabiana Carriera was born in Campobasso, Italy in 1997. She obtained her Master of Food Science and Technology in 2021 from the Department of Agricultural, Environmental and Food Sciences, University of Molise in Campobasso, Italy. After her Master’s degree, she carried out research at the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering of the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio on the characterization of dust emissions in the air from braking systems. From 2023, she is a PhD student in Science for Food Production at the University of Molise. She is working on the research of emerging contaminants in indoor air in the agri-food sector. She also involved in the research of contaminants in foods.

Alessia Iannone was born in San Giovanni Rotondo, Italy in 1995. She obtained her Master of Food Science and Technology in 2021 from the Department of Agricultural, Environmental and Food Sciences, University of Molise in Campobasso, Italy. After her Master’s degree, she won a research fellowship at the University of Molise on the analysis of organic and inorganic pollutants in honey samples. She carried out a research grant at the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering of the University of Cassino and Lazio Meridionale on the characterisation of airborne dust emissions from braking systems. At present, she is carrying out a research grant on the determination of microplastics in occupational indoor air. She also involved in the research of contaminants in foods.

Monica Maio was born in Benevento, Italy in 2000. She obtained her Master of Food Science and Technology in 2024 from the Department of Agricultural, Environmental and Food Sciences, University of Molise in Campobasso, Italy. After her Master’s degree, she won a research fellowship at the University of Molise on the analysis of organic and inorganic pollutants in soil samples. She also involved in the research of contaminants in foods.

Giuseppe Ianiri was born in Termoli, Italy in 1995. He obtained his Master degree in Food Science and Technology in 2020 from the Department of Agricultural, Environmental and Food Sciences, University of Molise, Campobasso, Italy. He is a member of the National and Molise Regional order of Food Technologists. He is currently a PhD student in Agriculture, Technologies and Biotechnologies at the University of Molise. He is working on the determination of persistent organic and inorganic pollutants in food and environmental matrices. He also deals with the study of indoor and outdoor air pollutants at National Institute of Health in Rome.
